Learn

Find what mattered.

Find your start. Walk through Beat 2. See where the favored side paid and where you didn't go. The boat-speed answer is right there in the leg times.

Send the replay to your crew. Pull it up at the bar after sailing, on a laptop the next morning, on a TV at the club. The debrief is the race that actually happened, not three different memories of it.

Questions before you start.

What kind of regattas and fleets can use SailTrace?
One-design fleets, club series, championship regattas, PHRF, junior programs, and high school and college teams.
Do I need an iPhone?
Yes. Recording is iOS-only right now. Sailors who don't have an iPhone can still open shared replays after the race on their Android phone or computer though.
Does the whole fleet need to use it?
No. SailTrace is useful even if you're the only one using it. That said, when more boats record a race the replay and stats get even better.
How accurate is it?
SailTrace uses advanced recording and processing techniques for race data. While no tracking is perfect we get pretty close.
How much battery does SailTrace use?
SailTrace is optimized for battery efficiency, so if your device is charged you should be able to record many hours worth of races.
Do I need cell service on the water?
Yes, SailTrace requires a cellular data connection to function. This shouldn't be a problem for most U.S. racing venues.
Can I use SailTrace outside the United States?
No. At this time SailTrace is only available in the United States.
