The quatix 8 has a regatta timer, virtual start line, and time-to-burn guidance. SailTrace does not replace those live watch tools. Features vary by Garmin model.
Your watch activities stay in Garmin Connect. SailTrace does not import Garmin files, so start a new recording in SailTrace before your next race.

Start recording before the race, put your phone away, and go sailing. Stop recording when you're done. Your replay and stats will appear automatically.

- SailTrace does not import Garmin files. SailTrace analyzes recordings made with its iPhone app.
- Does Garmin quatix have sailing race tools?
- Yes. The quatix 8 Sail Racing app includes a regatta timer, virtual start line, and time-to-burn guidance. Check the manual for your particular watch.
- Do I need a Garmin watch for SailTrace?
- No. SailTrace records from an iPhone and does not need a separate instrument.
- Can I keep using Garmin Connect?
- You can keep using Garmin Connect for your watch activities. A separate SailTrace recording does not replace or import it.
